Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is an South African television and radio journalist and war correspondent. She was an official CBS News correspondent from 2002 to 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually incorrect, politically biased piece on 2012 Benghazi as "the worst mistake I have made in the past 10 years." In 2019, she joined Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative media company. 4 On January 4, 2020 she joined Fox Nation. Fox News operates a subscription streaming site. She said that she had been "dumped by the company" in March 2022. Logan was a news reporter at the Sunday Tribune in Durban, during her studies (1988-1989) before working for the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992 she joined Reuters Television Africa as a senior production producer. After four years she branched into freelance journalism, obtaining assignments as a reporter and editor/producer with ITN and Fox/SKY, CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC, and the European Broadcasting Union. CNN was her home, where she covered events like the 1998 United States embassy bombings, in Nairobi and Tanzania. Additionally, she covered the conflict between Northern Ireland and Kosovo.
